Race Engineer and Aviation expert Andrew Dalton is one of the longest serving drivers in the Stryker championship and remains the "heart" of the series. He is now the "Bernie Ecclestone" of the class afraid of no one as he drives the class forward. He has a controlling interest in a number of drivers in different cars and teams. Known for his timeliness, attention to detailand robust racecraft he expects to be a front runner in 2007 following his last minute grasp of the 3rd place in the 2006 championship. Maybe 2007 will be his year to win the championship

Alan Auerbach was the new kid on the block in 2006 when he showed some fantastic speed particularly in wet conditions where his natural race craft had the potential to embarrass those in faster 1800 cars. He has moved up to the 1800 class and he could be a contender for honours in 2007. Family honour will need to be maintained as Dad Peter and No 1 fan also competes in the class.

Des Bruton is with Andrew Dalton a stalwart of the class having at least 10 seasons behind him. He is a renowned wet weather expert whose pedigree was developed whilst rallying on the highways and byways of Ireland. Des is an active member on Motorsport Ireland Committees and he was the key driving force behind the successful relaunch of the Stryker series in 2006. A very fair driver with whom to dice he was unlucky to be piped at the post for 3rd place in the 2007 championship.

Team Impressario Greg Kelly will be running the largest Stryker team in the paddock in 2007. This team will be the envy of many in with the vast range of motor homes at his disposal.  Attention to detail is  a key characteristic of Gregs race preparation. His shock reemergence on the scene in 2006 was signaled with his fastest lap and win on the first race of the season. Work obligations have on many occassions hampered his participation in the series but we expect that he will be a major force in 2007.

Johnny Lynch stockbroker and glamour boy of the class was a very enthusiastic new entrant to the class in 2006. He encountered terrible luck in his first season but was on the pace in his class when the gremlins stayed away. He will be able to concentrate on his own race craft in 2007 as wife Sinead who was very competitive and regularly faster than him has left the class for this year to allow Johnny at least uphold family honour.

Mark Willis the diffident teenager moved up to the 1800 class in 2006. He had a tremendous weekend a the Phoenix Park winning both events on his debut which earned him a nomination for the young driver of the year. A Tree Surgeon by profession (true) he combines this with race engineering for Alan Byrne Motorsport. Never afraid to help a competitor in need, the true character of Mark was illustrated by his spending an evening fixing a rival teams gearbox at a race meeting in 2006. Expected to be a front runner in 2007.

Peter Auerbach - Total petrolhead to the exclusion of all other sports. Cut his teeth on motorbikes around the fields of Sandyford(now the industrial estate).  He has actively partipated in motorsport, motocrossing and grasstracking in the 70's before many of his co competitors were even born. Raced in formula VW in 1985 finishing 5th in a self built car. Recently focused on running son Alan in karting and is now doing so again in the Strykers class. He is very knowledgable in the technical sphere and is never short of suggestions to improve the class from a technical viewpoint. Building a new car for 2007 championship.

Sonya Fildes comes from a family steeped in Motorsport history. Brother Jonathan is a former class champion although he was beaten by sister Sonya in his one outing in the class in 2006.  Sonya rejoined the series in 2006 after taking some time out with Baby Ben. Very fast and unlucky not to finish 3rd in the Championship in 2006. Husband Niall Foley also competes in the Championship but is quick to acknowledge who is the number one driver in the family.

Tristin Quinn was the deserving winner of the 2006 Havoline Stryker Championship. A very talented driver, fast, brave and very very robust when passing for position he was the class of the field in 2006. Tristin’s self prepared car is always impeccably presented at race meetings. He will be keen to retain the title in 2007 as he has to satisfy the insatiable appetite of the extended Quinn family fan base for more success.  Attendance numbers would collapse at Mondello if Tristin were ever to depart the racing scene.
